Eifman Ballet Theatre Tour Starts in Siberia

On April 19 and 20, the public of Krasnoyarsk will have the opportunity to see the famous production based on the novel by L. N. Tolstoy "Anna Karenina". This performance has already managed to win the hearts of viewers around the world and will be performed for the first time at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater.

The performance "Anna Karenina" by Boris Eifman is an interpretation of the famous novel by Leo Tolstoy "Anna Karenina" and was created in 2005. In the play, Eifman uses strong elements of modern dance to convey the emotional and spiritual state of the main character and her entourage. The original music was created by composer Sergei Nazaretyan, who based it on motifs from Russian classical music.

The play was highly praised by critics and audiences in Russia and abroad for its original interpretation of the famous novel, expressive performance, and magnificent costumes and scenery. "Anna Karenina" has become one of Eifman's most popular performances and continues to attract the attention of a wide audience with its vivid personifications of love and passion, betrayal and social pressure.

On April 20 and 21, at the same venue, the artists will perform the ballet "Eugene Onegin", which is already familiar to local connoisseurs of the performing arts: Boris Eifman's troupe previously showed its choreographic interpretation of the novel by A.S. Pushkin during a tour in Krasnoyarsk in 2017.

The performance "Onegin" by Boris Eifman is an interpretation of the famous novel by Alexander Pushkin "Eugene Onegin". In the production, Eifman made strong use of modern and ballet dance elements to convey the novel's deep emotional and moral themes. The original music in the production was created by composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, combining original compositions with excerpts from his other works.
