Theatre Day

The Boris Eifman Ballet Theater sincerely congratulates the artists, employees, art figures and spectators!

In honor of such an important holiday, we will share how Boris Eifman himself speaks about the theater.

According to the choreographer, the goal of any theater is to shock the viewer, to establish a strong emotional contact with the public. And from ballet, the viewer always expects a kind of catharsis and a riot of emotions.

Boris considers his personal goal to be to make the theater a place of open emotional experiences, where one's own feelings and sensations are more important than directing. This is a real cardiogram of emotions, its ups and downs, explosions and downs. The performances of the Eifman Ballet Theatre charge the audience emotionally.

He called the theatre a living organism that is constantly in motion, be it evolution or regression. It depends on human relationships. In his opinion, the theatre is a creative movement that does not stop for a day, it is an art created by like-minded people.

Eifman's style is known for its emotional intensity and the combination of classical ballet technique with modern dance. His works often explore deeply psychological and emotional themes, and he often draws inspiration from literature, music and art.
