We recall the main events from the history of the Theatre on the eve of the big gala concert

For five years, Boris Eifman has been reviving and modernizing legendary productions of past years. As the choreographer clarified, the theater does not revive productions as museum relics, but turns 20th-century performances into 21st-century ballets. For example, the one-act Requiem of 1991 received a new life in a two-act version in 2014.

One of the main events of that time was the opening of the Boris Eifman Dance Academy in 2013. This unique educational institution was created as a creative laboratory, which, on the one hand, is the keeper of the traditions of Russian ballet art, and on the other, an innovative school where universal dancers are trained.
